【Background Information】
Taieb Hafsi is a Full Professor of strategic management at Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, the business school of the University of Montreal. He holds the Walter J. Somers chair of International strategic management. He has been awarded several prizes of which the 1987 P. Laurin research prize, the 1998 Coopers-Lybrand best business book award, the 2000 Outstanding teacher award (a once in a career recognition award).
He has taught executives and students in many countries, including several inEurope,Africa, Middle-East, andAustralia,China, and the United-States.He has written numerous articles in several academic or professional journals, in particular: Administrative science quarterly,Academy of management review, Journal of management studies, Politiques et management publics, Government Policy, Long Range Planning. He has also authored or co-authored twenty five books or monographs, and collaborated to many others.
He is a member of CETAI and Managing editor of publications for thisResearchCenter. He is also the editor of a trilingual academic journal: International management. He is a member of Administrative science association of Canada (ASAC), a founding member of the Strategicmanagement society (SMS), and a member of the advisory board of the World association of case research and application (WACRA).
